Godsong ran through the Masaud family line, and Lucina was no exception.

Born on Valentine's Day to Karen Kurosawa and a father that was, at the time, unknown, Lucina's life was in disarray from the moment she came out the womb screaming. Her mother came and went from her life like a tornado, itching to get back to her life and to her new first love, her heroin. There and gone in a month after Lucina's birth, she was left in the case of Karen's sister, Sayuri, who immediately sought out the name of that mysterious missing man, the one who sired Lucina, to give her to him to raise. (She had two kids of her own, you see, and two kids was too many. Never mind that she would go on to raise four.)

Claurant Masaud, once he was found, took to his daughter like lightning to a rod. He adored her, but again it was never love enough, never enough for her to wholly replace Claurant's first love, his vices (unlike her mother, who lived and died by one, Claurant had a myriad of them, and it was a miracle that he somehow remained whole and mostly hale). From a young age, she learned it was easier to rely on herself than on him, to forge permission slips or grab chairs for the stove. As she got older, her responsibilities aged beyond her, until she was 14 and could run the house by herself if her father was gone at work or on one of his benders, and it was then at she started to dream.

They were innocuous at first. Lucid dreams, Google told her when she went to do her research. But they were too lucid for her liking. Too real. She would hike through mountains and wake up shivering. She would fall down stairs and wake up bruised. She'd meet people from around her town and see their dreams in her own. She'd hear singing in a language that made her head ache, all things she didn't understand, but desperately wanted to.

She knows her father has his secrets. So many of them spilled forth the day her grandfather died and they moved, into a tiny white bungalow with an attic that he keeps locked tight. She knows he has an interest in the occult, but she doesn't want him to know that something may be wrong with her. So she hides, but most importantly, she searches, clawing through every text she can find for an answer.

CARNAL WANTS

Lucina can influence and manipulate the wants of others by direct vocal command, inflicting her own wants upon them or enabling their own. This command is obvious, usually heralded by her asking or making a pointed remark containing the word want (e.g. Do you want that?; I want you to want to help yourself; You know you want this). It is a temporary effect that lasts only for that particular command, depending on the command. Unless the command involves the other to forget, the other person will feel as if their actions were not done wholly by their own will up to the mun's discretion. Lucina also needs to be wholly concentrated on the person she wishes to manipulate for it to be successful, any distractions will break her concentration and the effect she has over them. Note, Lucina is significantly weaker at this ability than her father, and has a higher rate of failure.

DREAM WALKER

Lucina can visit the dreams of others and they can link with her, joining her in her explorations (and of course, vice versa). All dreams that Lucina touches become lucid dreams for both parties, as in the dreamer is conscious and aware of themselves within the dream, and has a degree of influence over their own actions much as they would in reality. Consequences of the dreams may also appear in reality, including but not limited to temporary physical changes such as bruises, injuries, etc. The dreamer will remember seeing Lucina in their dream, and she will remember the dreamer; whether they connect that their dreams were linked is up to the mun's discretion.
